  2. Lutheran congregation from 1867.  St Jakobi Lutheran Church established in 1867 in former Baptist Church.  New Church built 1914.  Congregation combined with St John’s in 1992 (Lyndoch Valley Rd, Lyndoch).




  1. St John’s Lutheran Church built 1880.  New Church built in 1990 (3-5 Margaret Street, Lyndoch).




  1. St Peter's Anglican Church 1842.

  2. Anglican congregation from 1840.  Holy Trinity Anglican Church built 1861 (corner Barossa Valley Rd and Altona Rd, Lyndoch).

  3. Union Church built 1850.  New church built 1855.

  4. Baptist congreagation from 1850.  Baptist Church purchased Union Church 1859.  New church built 1862 (9 Kauffman Avenue, Lyndoch).

  5. Bible Christian congergation 1854-1878.  Bible Christian Church built 1854.  New church built 1865 (8 King St, Lyndoch).

Lyndoch - The region was given that name Lyndoch Valley by Colonel Light in 1837 after Lord Lynedoch.  The first significant settlement in the area was at Hoffnungsthal.  The current town of Lyndoch was laid out in 1851.
