Palmer, South Australia
 

Palmer - Established ca 1870, the town was named after Colonel George Palmer, a South Australian Colonization Commissioner.  Palmer is home to two pumping stations that help deliver water from the Murray River to Adelaide.  The Kitticoola (Reedy Creek) mine, one of South Australia’s earliest copper mines, operated nearby.

  2. St Paul’s Lutheran Church (St Paulus Kirche) 1873-1966.  Church opened 1873, congregation combined with Christ Church congregation 1867.  Church now demolished (Lindners Rd, Palmer).
