The Pribislaw of 304 tons.

Under the command of captain P W Niemann the Pribislaw departed Hamburg on 23 August 1849 arrived at Rio de Janiro 27 October 1849 and stayed there until 2 December.  The ship berthed in Port Phillip (Melbourne) on 2 February 1850 where most of the passengers disembarked.  The Pribislaw went on to Port Adelaide arriving there on 1 March 1850.

Passenger List

The Pribislaw left Hamburg with 229 passengers (168 adults and 61 children).  There were 14 deaths on the voyage.  19 passengers went to Adelaide.  Many of the passengers settled initially in Westgarthtown, Victoria.  The list below is based on partial passenger lists that appear on various web sites and additional information from other references [1-3, 6].
