CHENOWETH. -On the 16th September, at
Nypo, near Rainbow, Victoria. Elizabeth Jane,
the beloved wife of William Chenoweth, and
eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fidge,
of Hamley Bridge, aged 62 years.

RAINBOW, September 18.— Mrs. Cheno-
weth, of Nypo, died with painful sudden-
ness on Monday afternoon. She had been
ailing for 15 months from heart disease  
and dropsy, and bad recently been under  
the care of Dr. Ryan, of Nhill, of whose  
private hospital she was for some time an  
inmate. On Sunday last she had a sudden  
seizure, but her condition did not occasion  
grave anxiety. On Monday it was. ap-
parent she was in a very serious condition.
Mrs. Chenoweth, who was 62 years of age,
was born at Aldinga, South Australia,
where she was married in 1873. Shortly
afterwards she settled on Yorke Peninsula,
where she lived tor seven years. In 1880
Mrs. Chenoweth removed to Lorgnon, in
the Nhill district, and she remained there
for 20 years, eventually migrating to Hope
vale about 10 years ago. After residing
there for five years the family settled at
Nypo. She leaves a husband and family
of nine children — Mr. H. E. Chenoweth, of
Rainbow; Mrs. J. W. Frew, of Nypo; Mr.
H. Chenoweth, Melbourne; Mrs. T. Willis,
Pinnaroo; Miss Ada Chenoweth, Mr. W.
C. Chenoweth, Miss F. V. Chenoweth, and
Messrs. G. R. Chenoweth and R. A. Che-
noweth, all of Nypo.
