DALITZ: After a long illness the
death occurred on Friday at the Dim-
boola Bush Nursing Hospital of Mr.
Johannes Alfred ( Fred) Dalitz at the
age of 60 years. He was born at
Robertsown (S.A.). and came to Dim-
boola at an early age and later be
came a farmer at Dimboola. He is
survived by his wife (formerly Miss
Amalia Moller) two children, Greta
(Mrs. G. Kuhne) and Roy, and Mr.
G. Kuhne, son-in-law, and grand-
child Jeanette, niece Eunice.
Deceased was one of a family of
thirteen and is survived by the follow
ing brothers and sisters: Martha (Mrs
J. F. A. Schulze, Dimboola), William
(Melbourne), Henry Charles (Dim-
boola), Clarence (Nhill), Gustav Ed
win (Nhill), Ernest Oswald (Mel
bourne), Bert (Dimboola . Tom (Mel-
bourne), Pat (Dimboola) and Sophia
(Mrs. Teppar, Geelong).
Deceased was a popular member ol
the Dimboola Bowling Club and he
was one of the men responsible for
changing the club's site to its present
position. He won the club champion
ship in 1935. At last Saturday's bowl-
ing event the president (Mr. H. E.
Taylor) asked members to observe a
minute's silence.
The funeral took place at the Dim
boola Cemetery yesterday and was
preceded by a service conducted by
Pastor Ed. Starick at St. Peter's
Lutheran Church. Messrs. T. E. Mol-
ler, H. F. Budde. E. W. Sallman
P. H. Muller. H. C. Dalitz and B L
Dalitz acted as coffin bearers and the
mortuary arrangements were con-
ducted by Messrs Martindale and
Sons.
