Mrs. Beck, on old resident of Suther-
land, died at the Sutherland Hotel, the
residence of her daughter (Mrs. Hein-
rich), on July 16, at the age of
68. Mrs. Beck arrived with her
parents from Mecklenberg, Germany, 59
years ago, at the age of nine years. She
was twice married. Her first husband,
Mr. Brus, died 27 years ago at Schom-
burg. Four years later she married
Mr. Beck who died three years ago at
Eden Valley. There are five sons and
three daughters by the first marriage,
and 51 grandchildren. Mrs. Beck was
a member of the Lutheran Church.
