DEATH.
PFEIFFER.—On the 29th inst,, very sud-
denly at his son's farm, "Cononal-
ling," Johann Friedrich Pfeiffer, aged
65 years and 8 months. Formerly of
Lobethal and Yorktown, S. Australia.
Deeply regretted.

Deep regret was manifested here
last Tuesday, when it became known
that Johann Friedrich Pfeiffer, a
colonist of 62 years standing and a,
farmer at Puntapin in this district
for the past 11 years, had died sud-
denly that day, whilst at work at
"Cononalling," his son's farm,
where he was found dead by Mr
James.

The funeral took place on the
following day, deceased being buried
in the first grave in the portion of
the Wagin cemetery alloted to the
Lutherans..The Rev. Mr Walters, of
Albany, officiated at the graveside.
The chief mourners were:—Mr and
Mrs F. A. Kunzel, Mrs and Mrs A..
Gerricke, Mr and Mrs H. Kramer,
daughters and sons-in-law, Mr F. A.
Pfeiffer, Mr G. A, Pfeiffer, and Mr J,
T. Pfeiffer, jun., sons; Masters E.
Kunzel, H. and L. Gerricke, grand-,
sons; Mrs W. Retallack, grand-
daughter.The pall-bearers were:—
Messrs J. E. Cowcher, W, Pollard,
A. Gravin, C. Burgan, Painter, and
C. Lutz, the funeral arrangements
being carried out by Messrs
Morris and Parkes.
Deceased was 65 years of age,
and leaves seven grown-up children
—three sons and four daughters, all
of whom are residing in this dis-.
trict. The greatest sympathy is felt
for them in their sad bereavement.
