ZSCHORN.-On the 16th July, at the Adelaide
Hospital, Johann Gottlieb Zschorn, aged 83 years.
A colonist of 61 years.

Mr. Johann Gottlieb Zschorn, who died
on Saturday at the age of 83, was a colo-
nist of 61 years. He arrived in South Aus-
tralia in 1849, and, with the exception of
a couple of visits to the Victorian goldfields,
had resided ever since in Flinders street
and Pirie street. Mr. Zschorn never ex-
perienced any illness until within a week
of his decease. His wife died 11 years ago.
The family consists of three sons— Messrs.
Max, Paul, and Gustav— and two daughters
—Mrs. W. Green, of Eastwood, and Mrs.
W. D. Furze, Hyde Park. There are 31
grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
