Johann Carl Scholz, aged 78 years.

Mr, Johann. Carl Scholz, an old resident
of Quorn, died on Saturday. He was born
in Germany in 1833, and came out to Aus-
tralia in 1877. He settled in Friedrichs-
walde, where he remained for aboou seven
years. He afterwards removed to the
northern districts, where he had resided
ever since, and had been engaged in farm-
ing pursuits. He was highly, respected.
His wife died 19 years ago.
