28048DEATH. — Mr. Frederick Werchon
sen., an old and respected resident of the
South-East, died at the residence of his
son, Mr. Frederick Werchon, on Saturday
last, November 22nd. He was 79
years old, but in spite of his advanced
age appeared fairly well and was, in fact,
about on Saturday morning. His death
Vis due to failure of the heart. Mr.
Werchon came to South Australia 47
years ago, and lived for some time at
Adelaide side. About 30 years ago be
came to the South-East, living at Lake
St. Clair near Robe. He left there for
Millicent; 15 years ago, and has resided
here since. The funeral took place on
Sunday, when a number of friends and
relatives followed the body to the grave
in, Mayurra Cemetery. The burial ser-.
vice was conducted by the Rev. F. W.
Mattschoss.

November 20.-Another old identity. Mr.
Frederick Werchon, sen., father of Mr. F.
Werchon, of Rivoli Bay-road, has died.
The deceased gentleman, who was consider-
ably over 70 years of age, was taken suddenly
ill on Saturday morning, and soon
afterwards died. He had been living in
complete retirement with his son for several
years, and took no part in any public
affairs. The funeral took place on Sunday,
the Rev. Mr. Matchoss (Lutheran), of
Mount Gambier, performing the last rites.
