Mr. H. G. Scheer
Mr. Hermann .Gustav Scheer, 73, a
highly respected resident of Mannum,
died at the Mannum Hospital recently,
after a long illness. He was born, at
Eden Valley in 1861, and, as a young
man, went to Palmer, where he took
up farming. During his life, which he
spent in farming, he owned several
farms in the district, from which he
retired in 1927, and lived in Mannum
until his death. He was married in
1892 to Miss Johanna Bertha Don
hardt, of Millendilla. The widow and
nine children survive — six sons, Ed-
ward, Otto, and Hugo (Palmer), Phil-
lip and Martin (Loxton), Reinhold
(Murray Bridge), three daughters,
Mrs. Bretag (Tweedvale), Mis. Pfeiffer  
(Balaklava), and Mrs. Nitschke (Lox
ton).
