OLD COLONIST'S DEATH.
An old colonist, Mrs. Christine Caroline
Schaeche, a widow, who arrived in
Australia in 1849, died at Murray Bpidge
on Sunday last at the age of 66.
Deceased, who had been a widow since
1904, had resided in Murray Bridge for
5 years and the funeral, which took
place on Tuesday, was attended by
upwards of a hundred residents who |
followed the remains to their last resting
place to pay their last sad tribute to
deceased. Pastor E. Appelt read theburial
