THE LATE MRS. CAROLINE E. WARK
A very old resident of Perth and Ade-
laide in the person of Mrs. Caroline Eliza
beth Wark passed away on August 23 at
the age- of 81 yeas at the residence of her
son-in-law Mr. J. Lovelock, Hector-street,
Osborne Park. Born in Adelaide, where
she resided for 50 years she had spent the
last 31 years of her life in Perth. A
grown-up family of three sons and two
daughters survive her. She also leaves 19
grandchildren and four great-grandchild-
ren. The funeral cortege moved from the
residence on Tuesday, August 24 and pro-
ceeded to the Karrakatta Cemetery, where
the remains were interred in the Anglican
portion. The Rev B. M. Kirkland officiat-
ed at the graveside in the presence of a
large gathering. The chief mourners were:
Mrs. L. Lovelock, Mrs: E. Harvey (daugh
ters), Leonard Wark (son); Mrs. Len Wark
(daughter-in-law), Mr. J. Lovelock (son
in-law); Hurtle Lovelock, Ernie Harvey,
Leonard and Ray Wark (grandsons), Nel
lie Wark (grand-daughter), H. G. Baker,
Edward and Joseph Smith (nephews), and
Mrs. E. W. Smith. The pall-bearers were:
Messrs. Ballantine, Wilson, A. Dix, Birt
Harvey, Hammersley and Chantler. Nu
merous wreaths and floral tributes and
other tokens of sympathy were received by
the bereaved relatives. The funeral ar-
rangements were in the hands of Arthur J.
Purslow of Guildford and North Perth.
