Ellen Norma Lucas, of Rundle street,
Adelaide, sought to be freed from her hum
band, James Edward Lucas.
Mr. C. A. Sandery (Public Solicitor) re-
presented petitioner, who told the court
that after marriage she and her husband
lived at Parkside and Black Forest.
There were no children of the marriage,
which took place on October 8, 1917, at
St. Luke's Church, Adelaide.
In November, 1919, she left her husband
on account of his cruelty and drunken
habits. 'He had not contributed toward
her maintenance since that time. Peti-
tioner gave evidence of having on several
occasions watched a house in South road,
Edwardstown, and having seen, through
a bedroom window, her husband and a
woman undress.
