65889KOSSATZ — HEWTON AND KOSSATZ—
HEWTON.
At St. Mary's Church of England, Edithburgh,
on August 20, Nina and Myra, third and fourth
daughters of Mr. and Mrs. E. Hewton, of Honi-
ton, were married to Glen and Verner Kossatz
respectively, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Kossatz, of
Edithburgh. Miss Nina, who was escorted by
her father, and Miss Myra, who was escorted
by Mr. W. Algie (brother-in-law of the brides),
looked charming in cream satin crepe marocain,
draped on hips and caught with pearl and bril-
liant ornaments, with long beaded georgette
sleeves, beaded with pearls. Each wore a
bridal veil, trimmed with strings of pearls, and
surmounted with orange blossom, and carried
bouquets of white sweet peas, daisies, and
stocks, draped with fern and tulle, and tied with
cream ribbon. The bridesmaids were Misses
Elsie and Jane Hewton (sisters of the brides).
Miss Elsie wore belio satin charmeuse, draped
on the left hip and caught with silver beaded
ornament, long ends trimmed with silver beaded
insertion and fringes. She wore a champagne-
colored hat, trimmed with belio and adorned
with long georgette ends. Miss Jane appeared
in blue satin crepe marocain, draped on left hip
with hand-made blue and silver tissue flowers,
and pleated silver lace on waist and hem of
skirt. Her hat was of lemon and blue, with
long georgette ends. The brides three-piece
travelling costumes were of fawn tricotine, and
they wore braided fawn hats, relieved with hand-
made Oriental posies. Oriental crochet handbags
were designed to match the costumes. The best
men were Mr. E. Kossatz (brother of the
grooms), and Mr. Howard Mathews (cousin of
the grooms). At the Honiton Institute Mr.
and Mrs. E. Hewton received over 100 guests
at breakfast. The hall was decorated with pink
and white crepe paper. The usual toasts were
honored. The latter part of the evening was
devoted to dancing. The happy couples left
on their honeymoons on Thursday.
