McCOLL
Miss Mary
McColl, who died at
Quorn on October 26, was the third
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Hugh McColl, and was born at Cor-
pach, Ben Nevis, Scotland, in 1851.
At the age of five she, with her parents,
migrated to South Australia and
settled at Strathalbyn. She was edu-
cated at Mrs. Parson's private school
for girls at Strathalbyn, and then
spent several years with her sis
ter, Mrs. John Ormiston, of Pol-
talloch Station. About 58 years
ago she went with her brother
Hugh and sister to Beautiful Valley,
near Wilmington. Subsequently she
made her home at Hammond, where
she resided until she went to live with
her sister in Quorn about three years
ago. Miss
McColl was an ardent
worker of the Methodist Church. Out
of a large family only two sisters sur-
vive. Mrs. C. Robertson (Kadina) and
Miss Catherine
McColl (Quorn).
