DEATH IN THE BUSH.

Wilmington, August 28.

Mrs. McColl, wife of Mr. Hugh McColl,
farmer, of Gregory, left her home thinly clad
last Wednesday evening while suffering from
mental strain. She was missed five minutes
after she had left, but notwithstanding that a
large party has been hunting for her ever since
her body was not found until to-day, when the
police and 150 volunteers, including laborers
working for the district council and at the
reservoir, continued the search, her remains
were discovered in the scrub a mile and a half
from her home. Much sympathy is expressed
for Mr. McColl and his family, who are highly
respected.
