WHIMPRESS.—On the 7th of February, at
Gumeracha, George Thomas, beloved husband
of Sarah Ann Whimpress, of Kersbrook, aged
76 years.

Mr. George Thomas Whimpress,
who died recently in the Gumeracha
Hospital, was one of the oldest resi
dents of the district. He was born in
Kersbrook in 1864 and lived there all
his life except for a period when he
was working at Prongarong Station,
Murray Flats, for the late William
Shannon, and later when he was
managing one of his properties at —
Tailem Bend. He was overseer of the
old Parawirra District Council for
many years. He married Miss Sarah
Ann Parker, daughter of Mr. Joseph
Parker, of Kersbrook, who survives
him. He left five daughters— Mes-
dames W. J. Quinn (Maitland), R.
Rehn (Kersbrook), G. Giddings
(Ardrossan), W. J. Bain (Williams
town), and F. R. Brown (Kersbrook),
and two sons — Messrs. Harry and
Percy Whimpress, both of Kersbrook.
