Pfeiffer-Scherer
Wedding
The marriage took place on October
31 at the Church of Hope, Cambrai,
of Martha L. A., fourth daughter of
Rev. and Mrs. Scherer. of Cambrai,
to Edwin A., only son of Mr. and
Mrs. P. R. Pfeiffer, of Stokes, Eyre
Peninsula.
The bride, who entered the church
on the arm of her father, looked
charming in a frock of chalk white
mattalasse, cut on tailored lines with
a long train. A Honiton lace veil,
which was worn over the face, was
held in place by a wreath of Myrtle
blossom, which was worn by the
bride's mother on her wedding day.
The veil was lent by Mrs. H. Scherer,
sister-in-law of the bride. A sheaf of
Christmas lilies and lily of the valley
completed the toilette.
The two bridesmaids, Misses Adeline
and Lucie Scherer, were frocked alike
in powder blue ankle length frocks
cut on tailored lines, with sashes of
pink velvet ribbon. They wore blue
silk net shoulder length veils, topped
with a spray of pink velvet roses and
wore blue mittens. Both carried
sheaves of pink and blue rhododen-
drons and carnations.
The best man and groomsman were
Mr. Philip Scherer and Mr. Victor
Wenke.
The bride's mother wore a black
frock and hat relieved with white, an-]
carried a spray of pink carnations.
Miss Frieda Schilling was the or-
ganist.
The reception was held at the home
of the bride's parents, Cambrai. A
beautiful three-tier cake was cut by
the bride, who then left for her honey
moon in a cornflower blue ensemble
with black hat and accessories to
match.
Mr. and Mrs. Pfeiffer's future home
will be at Stokes. Eyre Peninsula.
