MRS. J. ZADOW
Mr. Julius Zadow, an old Forster
identity, died at the Willows Hospital,
Nuriootpa, on Wednesday, February
12, at the age of 74. He was born at
Birdwood, and at the age of 16 started
work at Burra as a shepherd. From
there he went to the McDonald Ranges
to work on a station as a boundary
rider. He later went gold digging at
Darwin. On his return he took up
land at Forster and Bakara in 1885,
where he lived until his death. He
was married to Miss Emma Auguste
Staehr, of Nuriootpa, in 1896. He was
a member of the Caurnamont Dis-
trict Council for a short period. He
leaves a widow and a son and a
daughter. They are Mr. Charles
Zadow and Miss Lottie Zadow, of For-
ster.
