sen., passed away on Sunday,
April 6, at her son's residence at Wal-.

he deceased lady was an oldcolonist, having arrived in the Statein 1847 from Cornwall after a voyagelasting 101 days. She resided first atNorwood, in days when blackfellows'wurlies were numerous in Adelaide.Mrs.- Moldenhauer had almost reachedher seventy-sixth year, and had residedin this district half her lifetime.In 1872 her husband took up land atCondowie, and settled there with hisfamily in the following year, but. onlylived twelve months afterwards. Mrs.Moldenhauer and her sons carried on.the farm amid many hardships, arisingfrom bad seasons, until about fiveyears ago. She was one of the foundationmembers of the Condowie BibleChristian Church. The earliest ministersof the circuit lived at her house,and her eldest son helped to cartmaterial from Port Wakefield for theChurch building. The first Bible Christianminister to preach at Condowiewas the Rev. John Dingle, whose nextservice was to be held at Moonta. Mr.W. H. Moldenhauer accompanied himon his ride of miles through the densescrub. An interesting fact in Mrs.Moldenhauer's life is that in Cornwallshe attended the Sabbath-school conductedby the famous Silly Bray.Though of a retiring disposition, shewas liked and respected by everyone,and greatly beloved by her family, whomourn the loss of a true mother. Herdaughter remained with her throughoutthe trying weeks, and her sonswere constant in their attention. Anin memoriam service was held in theSnowtown Church on Sunday evening.April 13.
