On September 24 Mr. Thomas Lintern,
a colonist of 59 years, died at Boundary
Farm, Mount Torrens, at tlie age of 79
years. Mr. Lintern, who came from Somer-
setshire, and his wife, who
predeceasedhim by two years, arrived in South Aus-tralia by the ship Constant in 1850. Heresided at Norwood for a short time, thenat Nairne. He did well at the Victoriandiggings. Afterwards he returned to SouthAustralia, and worked at Tungkillo for theHon. J. Baker and Mr. A. B. Murray.Thirty years ago Mr. Lintern settled atBoundary Farm, where he lived until hisdeath, and was widely respected. He hasleft 8 children, 18 grandchildren, and11 great-grandchildren.

Boundary Farm, near Mount Torrens,
passed away at the age of
79 years.Mr. Lintern, accompanied by his wife,(who predeceased him by about twoyears), arrived at Port Adelaide in theship Constant in 1850. He was a na-tive of Tunard, Somersetshire, England.After working at Norwood for a shorttime, he went to Nairne. and from thereproceeded to the Victorian goldfields. Hedid fairly well and on returning hitherworked for Mr. A. B. Murrav and alsofor thii Hon. J. Baker at Tungkillo.Thirty years ago he settled on Bound-ary Farm. Out of a family of 10, thereare now living three daughters and fivesons—Mrs. Winter, of Adelaide, Mrs.Simpson and Miss Fanny Lintern, ofMount Torrens. Mr. Thomas Lintern. ofTungkillo, and Messrs John, Frank, Dun-can. and Charles Lintern. of Mount Tor-rens. There are 18 grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren.
