SPRINGTON, November 13— An old
identity, Mr J, F. Gallas, died here last
Tuesday at the age of 80. Mr. Gallas came
from Dobersaul, Germany, landing in Aus-
tralia in 1857. He lived here almost 40
years. His wife died in 1898, since when
he had lived with his daughter at Spring-
ton. He left one son, Mr. J. Gallas, of
Springton, and three daughters (Mrs.
Habich, of Lobethal: Mrs. Rogers, of Lyn-
doch Valley; and Miss Gallas, of Spring-
ton).
