84994LANKENAU. — On the 6th March, Heinrich,
beloved husband of Christina Lankenau, aged 70
years. A colonist of over 50 years.

84995Another old colonist has passed
away at the age of 70 years in the
person of Mr. Hciurich
Lankenau.
He had been in the colony over 50
years, arriving in Port Adelaide in
1844 as mate of the German vessel
Pauliene. The deceased in the
early days followed the occupation
of a miner, and, after varied ex
periences, settled down as a store
keeper. He will be remembered by
many of the early colonists as a
member of the first fire brigade of
Adelaide.
