Burial of Mr. P. H. Heckendorf, of
'Willow Park,' Wodonga, near
Albury, who was killed in tragic cir-
cumstances last week, took place in
Wodonga cemetsry.
Mr. Heckendorf made the round of
his paddocks on horseback, and it is
thought that the animal propped, and
he was thrown to the ground. When
he did not return home after some
hours, a search party was sent out.
Mr. Heckendorf was an active man,
and even though in his 73rd year he
took a keen interest in affairs relating
to the management of his farm. His
wife predeceased him by about two
years.
Five daughters, Mesdames H. Peter-
son (Wodonga), E. Carter (Wodonga),
H. Schmidt (Albury), C. Boyes
(Leneva), and C. D. Klinge (Wodonga
West) and one son, Mr. Herman Hec-
kendorf (Wodonga), survive.
