Rev. Canon Coombs, Mr. George Mahood,
Manoora, to Miss Eliza Heaslip, of Moher, Gawler
Plains, fourth daughter of the late Mr. Benjamin
Heaslip.

86142Mr. George Mahood, of Wirrabara,
who died suddenly in Adelaide on the
11th. was one of the oldest residents in
the district, and much respected. He
was a member of the Port Germein Coun-
cil for 16 years, and has been Chairman
since 1899. He was one of the founders
of the Areas Lodge of Freemasons, and
one of the original trustees of the Wirra-
bara Institute. Last year he was added
to the list of J usticed of the Peace.
Mr. Mahood was a sound judge of stock,
and' was a familiar figure at Northern
Shows as judge. He leaves a widow and
gr.own-up family- Mrs. H. Beadnall, of
Carrieton, Mr. J. J. Mahood, of Elder,
Smith, Mr. G. H. A. Mahood, Mr. M.
Mahood, and two single daughters.
