87406Mr. Ernest Trapmann died at his resi-
dence, Wakefield-street, early on Monday
morning. He arrived in this State from
Germany by the ship Augusta Malina on
April 2, 1849. He spent nine years on the
Bendigo diggings. In 1873 he went to the
Northern Territory with his late brother,
Mr. C. W. F. Trapmann, for a gold pros-
pecting party, and returned to South Aus-
tralia in October 1874. He immediately
found employment with the Adelaide
waterworks, and was appointed turncock for
the Adelaide district in 1879, and held the
position up to the time of his death. The
deceased left a widow, three sons, and one
daughter.

TRAPMANN.— On the 4th February, aa his resi-
dence, 161, Wakefield-Street, Ernst Trapmann, the
dearly beloved husband of Hannah Trapmann, in
his 70th year. Arrived April 2, 1849, in ship
Augusta Malina.
