The Acting City coroner (Mr Ziesing
SM) yesterday found that Carl George
Frederick Gottschalk, also known as
Charles August Gottschalk, 74, dis-
patcher, employed by the Municipal
Tramways Trust ol Hazelwood avenue,
Hazelwood Park, died on June 9 from
extensive injuries and shock sustained
when he was knocked down by a motor
car at the Intersection of Grenfell and
King William streets, city, shortly
before daylight on that day The acci-
dent occurred in rain sand during the
brown-out
Mr Ziesing added that Horace Wil-
liam Tomilnson. French polisher of
Beaumont rd. Beaumont, the driver of
the car was not guilty of negligence.
