89314WALLAItOO, October 21.— Mrs. Wilhelmina
Meadows, widow of Mr. James Meadows, died on
Sunday last at Wallaroo at the ago of 81 years.
She was born in Germany, and arrived in South
Australia when only 8 years old. Mr. and Mrs.
Meadows came to Yorkc Peninsula about 28 years
ago, and started fanning. Mr. Meadows died four
years after, but the sons continued on the land
with their mother. When the West Coast was
opened up, Mrs. Meadows and her sons took up
land in the Port Lincoln district. The mother,
being in ill-health returned to Wallaroo, and for
some time past had lived with her daughter.
Four sons— Messrs. Caleb . Meadows, William
Meadows, James Meadows, and George Meadows
— and two daughters— Mrs. L. Trembath, of Ka-
dina; and Mrs. Clara Alice Appleton, of Wal-
laroo— are left. The deceased was a member of
the Presbyterian Church.
