OBITUARY
Mr. August Kschenka
The death occurred of Mr. August
Kschenka at 1.10 a.m. on Saturday at
the Albury District Hospital. Deceased
had been ailing for some time, and was
taken to Henty Hospital late in. July
and moved to Albury District Hospital
early in August, where he died at the
age of 73 years.
Youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. M.
Kschenka, he was born at Petershill,
South Australia, on August 3, 1876. His
mother died when he was one week old,
and he was brought up by an aunt at
Eden Valley, S.A. When twenty years
of age he moved to various parts of
Victoria, and in 1898 he came to Kerri
gan, and then on to Henty in the same
year.
Deceased married Moria Martha
Wenzke at St. John's Lutheran Church,
Pleasant Hills, in 1909, and they lived
at Munyabla and Grubben for eight
year. They have lived at Pleasant Hills
since 1918.
He is survived by a wife, two daugh-
ters, Myrtle (Melbourne) and Alice
(Mrs. Abreciit, Morwell, Vic), three
sons, Harold (Pleasant Hills), Edward
(Sydney), Gordon (Goulburn), five  
granddaughters and one grandson. One  
daughter, Sophie, predeceased him.  
The funeral took place at Hentty  
Cemetery, after services at Trinity Lu-    
theran Church and at the graveside,  
conducted by Pastor Loffler. Coffin-  
bearers were Messrs H. A. Kschenka,  
W. B. Kschenka, G. R. Kschenka (sons),
C. Wenzke, A. Hughler and R. Forck;
while Messrs O. Wenzke, Alf. Wenzke,    
H. Wenzke, S. Wenzke (brothers-in-  
law), R. Lindner and S. Lindner, had
charge of the flowers. Mr. E. Cochrane
had charge of the funeral arrange-
ments.
