LIGHT showers of rain fell on Thurs-  
day and. Friday morning, but on
the whole the weather has proved
clear and frosty during the past week.
News is to hand of the marriage at
Loxton (S.A.) of Miss Marie Backen,
second youngest daughter of the late
Pastor Backen, of Trungley, Temora,
and Mr. Thiele, of Loxton. The
nuptials were attended by somewhat
unique surroundings, for the bride,
who is the daughter of a clergyman,
was given away by her brother,
Pastor Oscar Backen. The ceremony  
was performed by Pastor T. Bracken,
and the honorary organist for the cere-
mony was Pastor G. Backen, all three
clerics being brothers of the bride. All
of these clergymen and the bride arc
very well and favorably known at
Temora, where they resided for many
