Two more of our oldest residents, Mrs. J.
Slough and Mr. Henry Oermann, have passed
over to the great majority. Mrs. Slough had
a paralytic stroke about a fortnight ago, and
died from the effects of it early last Sunday
week, at the age of sixty-one years, leaving a
husband and grown-up family. Mr. Henry
Oermann died the same afternoon at his resi-
dence, near Giles's Corner, at the age of seventy
six. He had been ailing for a considerable
time. He was for years with Messrs. Anstey
and Giles, on their station at Giles's Corner,
and when they gave up sheepfarming he
started farming on his own account. His wife
died a few years ago.
