William James Le
ster, died at theThyne Memorial Hospital onTuesday, at the age of 82 years.His health had been failing for acouple of years. The late Mr.Lester arrived at Millicent in thelate '70's, and worked on thedrains being constructed at StonyCreek, Reedy Creek, and Hather-leigh, and was later employed asa labourer in many capacities.He became a member of the Dis-trict Council of Millicent, and wasfor some years a Justice of thePeace. He took ah active inter-est in Labor politics throughouthis adult life. He married adaughter of the late Mr. and MrsGeorge Willshire, of Millicent. Hiswife died 16 years ago. Therewere seven children of the mar-riage, of whom six survive. Theyare Messrs. Murray and Jack Les-ter, of Adelaide, and MesdamesH. Clark (Clara), Adelaide; T. H.C. Bellinger (Edith), Millicent;McIntyre (Annie), Adelaide, andHarold Dean (Mary), Millicent.
