MRS. R. CLISBY
was born at Somerset, England, in
1839, and thus passed away at the
advanced age of eighty-two years. She
was married to Redford Cli
sby (whopredeceased her) at Portland Bay, onDecember 10, 1856. She came to Nairnefrom Melbourne sixty-two years ago,where she was converted under theministry of the Rev. Thos. Lloyd. Whenshe first came to Adelaide she attendedArcher Street and was a member of theclass meeting. There are nine survivingchildren, five sons and four daughters,;viz.:- William, Bedford, Robert,Albert, Herbert, and Mrs. Brenton(Plympton), Mrs. Naughter (Prospect),Mrs. Taylor (Prospect), Mrs. Cragie(Medindie). She died triumphantly,with her loved ones singing the hymnsshe loved. In her life were exemplifiedthose Christian graces of faith and lovewhich make a woman a true Christianand mother. She was the central figureof the family, and although her childrenhad all reached mature years, theycontinued to look to her as their guideand example. The Rev. S.
