OBITUARY
Mary Josepa Tracey
Mrs Mary Josepa Tracey, mother or
Mr William John, Warren, of Spring
wood, passed away at the resi
dence of her daughter, Mrs Wise, of
Lithgow, on Monday, 8th Inst., at the
age of 84 years.
With her parents the late Mrs Tracey
(then only 4 years old) passed over ths
mountains for Albury, where her father
was one of the first settlers to start a
vineyard. Mrs Tracey's husband, who
pre-deceased her about 28 years ago,
kept an hotel at Albury for about 60
years. Deceased had been ailing for
about 18 months.
The following sons and daughters
survive:—James Joseph (Urana), Mrs
Wise (Lithgow), Mrs Boole (Mudgee),
Mrs Johnson (Cooma), Willian John
(Springwood), and Mrs Schneider (Al
bury).
The remains were laid to rest on
Tuesday at Lithgow, after a service
conducted at the church and graveside
by the local parish priest.
