Death of Mr J. G. Obst, Aged
68, of Lights Pass
MR. Johann Gottlieb Obst (68), of
Lights Pass, wlm died in Angas-
ton Hospital on Tuesday morning, was
widely known and esteemed. With Mrs
Obst (nee Miss Maria Mathilde Leh-
mann, of Robertstown), he had lived
at Bower until last June, when they
came to reside at Lights Pass. Their
eldest son, Oscar, died about 10 years
ago; nine daughters and a son being
now left with Mrs Obst. They are:
Wanda, Adelaide; Elsa (Mrs Ed. Schil-
ler), Sutherlands; Olga (Mrs P. A.
Obst), Angaston; Martha (Mrs M.
Nitschke) and Ida (Mrs Ern. Nitsch-
ke), both of Truro: Esther, Lights
Pass: Nora and Adela, Truro; Melva
and Albert, both of Lights Pass. Mr
Hermann Obst. of Greenock, is a bro-
ther: and Mrs Bertha Schiller, Suther-
lands, is a sister. Rev. F. A. Hart-
tnann ministered at the funeral at
Lights Pass yesterday.
