10055OBITUARY
Mr. William Frederick Ploenges,
of O.B. Flat, died at his residence
on May 23 after an illness lasting
12 months. He was aged 84.
Born at Springtown, near Adel-
aide, he was a son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Frederick Ploenges. A
brother, Edward Ploenges, Mount
Gambier, is still living.
Five sisters also survive. They
are: - Lizette (Mrs. Edwards,
Adelaide), Molly (Mrs. Rochow,
(Hynam), Nora (Mrs. Reinecke,
Moorak), Sophie (Mrs. Potts, Mel-
bourne), Agnes (Mrs. Steer, Mel-
bourne).
On December 14, 1886, he was
married at the Lutheran Church,
Mount Gambier, to Miss Mary
Augusta Spehr.
There were eight children:
Messrs. Frederick (Kalangadoo),
Albert (Mount Gambier), Percival,
Clarence, and Edwin (O.B. Fiat),
Ivan (Mount Gambier), and
Louisa (Mrs. von Einem, Mount
Gambier), and Bertha (Mrs.
Buhlman, O.B. Flat).
Rev. E. Sprengel (Lutheran,.
Church) conducted the graveside
service at the funeral on May 24,
and Mr. Ern James carried out
mortuary arrangements.
