A wedding was celebrated at the
Baptist Church, Katanning, on Wed-
nesday last between Mr
Harry S.Oldrey, of Woodanilling, and MissSelma Heinzel, whose father residesin South Australia. The Rev. W.Kennedy, of Narrogin, officiated.Mrs. Mark King presided at the piano.The bride, who looked most attactive,was given away by Mr C. F. Wanke.She was attended by her sister, MissHilda Heinzel, as bridesmaid, whilstMr J. A. Wanke, acted as best man.A large number of friends were pre-sent at the ceremony. At its con-clusion the bridal party and a fewguests drove out to Mr Wanke's re-sidence at Moojepin, where the wed-ding breakfast was partaken of. Theexcellent repast reflected the veryhighest credit upon those who hadprepared it. The Rev. W. Kennedyproposed the health of "The Brideand Bridegroom." He echoed thesentiments of all present when hereferred to the very high estimationin which the happy couple were heldby all who knew them. Mr Oldreyreplied with great feeling, being con-vinced he had secured the very bestwife imaginable. He promised tofaithfully, carry out the kindly in-structions given to him. The toast of"The Bridesmaid" was proposed; byMessrs W. J.Rogers and H. F. Ran-ferd. In responding, on behalfMiss Heinzel, Mr J. F. Wanke ex-pressed his devotion to the gentlersex and his intention to speedily fol-low the good example set that day.Mr W. J. Rogers in an excellentspeech proposed the "Host and Host-ess." Mr Wanke in reply stated howpleased his wife and he were to see somany of their friends enjoying them-selves. He paid a high tribute to theestimable qualities of the bride, whomhe had known from childhood. He alsospoke of the integrity and businesscapabilities of the bridegroom, andthe respect in which they were bothheld. A most enjoyable evening wasspent by those present, and whensupper was announced at 10p.m.it was agreed the hours hadslipped away all too quickly. Thefunction being ended, the visitors re-turned to Katanning, while Mr. and Mrs.Oldrey drove to their new homeat Woodanilling.On entering the church the bridewas dressed in cream voile with tuckedyoke and sleeves, with trimming ofguipure Lace and insertion. Thetrained skirt had ruebed flounce andyoke.She wore a veil of sprigged netwith coronet of orange blossoms.The bridesmaid, Miss Hilda Heinzel,was dressed in white silk, with creamstraw hat, trimined with velvet and awreath of marguerites.The bride' travelling dress was of green violebolero, with white chiffon front, blueand white straw hat trimmed withchiffon.The presents which were very choicewere as follows-Bridegroom to bride, gold bangle.Bridegroom to bridesmaid, goldbangleBride to bridegroom, pair goldsleeve links.Mrs. Wanke, tea set.Mrs. McDonald, pair vases.Mrs. J.
