Speher suddenlv last week':at his home
at Geelong. Born at Mortlake 74 years
ago, deceased went to Natimuk Lake
in I866 with his parents, wlio selected
thie land now. farmed by Mr. F. Hinne=
herg. Subseqnently deceased acquired
the land which he successfully culti-
vated until 10 years ag0 when he re-
tired to Geelong. In 1890 he-married
Miss Augusta Meyer, the wedding be-
ing the:first. to be celebrated in St.
Aidan's Church,:of. England, Natimuk.
The issue of the narriage was two
sons and two daughters. Mr. H Speher,
of Natimuk Lake, is a brothelr and
Mesdames R. Keifel and A. Pfennig,
of Natimuk are sisters. The funeral
took place at the Geelong Cemetery.
