The recent leath at Tumby Bay of
Elizabeth Mary Dunow, was follow
ed suddenly by the death of her hus-
band, Frederick Charles Dunow.
Mr. Dunow, who was 83, and Mrs.
Dunow, 81, were old residents of the
Tumby Bay district, having arrived
here in November 1904.
Mr. Durfbw farmed in different
parts of the district until 1919 when
they went to Port Broughton for a
few years, then to Port Wakefield.
In January 1944, Mr. and Mrs.
Dunow decided to return to Tumby
Bay.
Mr. Dunow was the second son of
the late Frederick John Dunow, who
came to Australia with his parents
in the early 1840's, and who settled
in the Whitwarta district near Bala-
klava.
Mrs. Dunow was the younger child
of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hous-
ton, who came to Australia as a
young married couple in 1865, and
settled in the Nantawarra district.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Dunow were
active members of the Methodist
Church until recent years, when fail-
ing health and advancing age pre-
vented their attendance. They are
survived by one son, two daughters
10 grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren
