WEDDING BELLSFARQUHAR—CAMENSA very pretty wedding took placeat St. Lawrence's church, North Adelaide, on 26th ult., when Jean, eldestdaughter of Mr. A. and the late Mrs.Camens, of Charleston, was marriedto Vincent, son of Mr. and Mrs, Farquhar, of Woodside.The bride, who entered the churchon the arm of her father, worewhite satin frock with a V neck-lineand true lover's knots appliqued andbeaded at the waistline and on thetrain. A coronet of orange blossomheld in place the lovely veil whichwas edged with silver lace and lentby Mrs. L. B. Pfeiffer, of Woodside.She carried a prayer book with trailsof myrtle which was used by her lategrandmother at her wedding.Misses Eleanor and Beryl Camens,the bride's sisters, were bridesmaids,and were frocked in blue and pinkrespectively. Of British crepe theirfrocks featured low waist-lines, withskirts slightly gathered and bodicesshirred up the centre front on to ahand-designed rouleoux yoke. Theirhead-dresses consisted of a band ofpink and blue flowers from whichhung a shoulder length veil and theycarried shower bouquets of pink andblue flowers. A charming little flowergirl was Janet Gurr, of Charleston,who wore a frock of pink pin-spottednet over pink crepe-de-chene. Theskirt was full and gathered and tinybows trimmed the skirt, bodice andsleeves. She wore a P'nk poke-bonnet and carried a Victorian posy ofpink and blue flowers.Best man was Mr. C. Mueller, ofLobethal, and the bride's brother, MrB. Camens, was groomsman. Duringthe signing of the register Miss Betty Syvertsen, cousin of the bride,sang Ave Maria. As the bride leftthe church four lucky horseshoeswere hung on her arm. The reception was held at Arcadia where 60puests were present and an enjoyableevening was spent. Mr. L. B. Pfeiffer acted as M.C. and the usual toastswere honored. Musical items weregiven by Mrs. Gurr, pianoforte solos,and Miss B. 'Syvertsen who sang"My Hero" and "Because." Manycongratulatory telegrams were received. The beautiful wedding cake,which was made and iced by an oldfriend of the bride's family, was cutby the bride and groom. The bridetravelled in a pink, low-waisted frockwith a fully pleated skirt and navyaccessories. Their future home willbe at Nairne.
