OBITUARY
Mr W. R. Semmler
The late Mr Wilhelm Rein
hold Senimler. 77, was born
at Greenock on Nov 28, 1875,
being- son of Mr and Mrs J.
C. A. Senimler. He was bap
tised at Nain by late Pastor
J. C. Auricht on Dec. 19,
1875, and confirmed by him
on Nov. 10, 1889. Mr Semm
ler and Anna Elizabeth Rieb
ke were married by Pastor
Dicier at Stonefield on Sept.
26, 1907, and of their 11 chil
dren, the youngest died in
infancy and was buried with
her motlier, who died on Doc.
29, 1926. The family lived at
Stonefield for 21 years, and
in the trials and hard work
called for, were maintained
by faith. Some of the child
ren had to walk more than 5
miles each way to school dai
ly. As the children grew up,
Lights Pass seemed to offer
greater opportunity, and on
ly during the last few years
Mr Senimler made his home
in Nuriootpa. His life was a
story of courage, cheerful
ness and faithful service to
his family. He was a faith
ful member of Lights Pass
Church. In addition to the
children there remain a sis
ter, brother and step-broth
er. The family comprises Ot
