The death occurred at the Hutchin-
son Hospital, Gawler, of Mr. Carl A.
Pieiffer, who was born at Daveyston in
the year 1866. When a boy his
parents removed to Eudunda, where in
the year 1892 he married Miss Pauline
Schultz. For about 30 years he was
in business with his father, and later
in partnership with his brother Mr.
A. H. Pfeiffer. Eight years ago he
left Eudunda to manage the chaff busi-
ness of Messrs. S. Scott & Sons, at
Owen, and for the past three years was
at Roseworthy. Previously to leaving
Eudunda, Mr, PJeifier was interested
in matters pertaining to the welfare of
the town, and was for 14 years a coun-
cillor of the District Council of Neaies.
He was one of the persons who were
responsible for the building of the
Eudunda District Hospital. He leaves
a widow, two sons, Messrs. H. C.
Pfeiffer (Woodside), and Mr. W. Pieif-
fer (Eudunda), and a daughter, Mrs.
C Wilksch {Gawler) survive.
