I am sorry to have to chronicle a death at
Vectis East. I refer to the demise of Mrs.
Jakobi, mother of Mr. F. Jakobi, our much

respected neighbour. The deceased lady
was exactly the same age as Her Majesty, I
believe, and had been ailing for a consider
able time. She leaves behind her many
sorrowing friends, who sympathise with the
relatives in their bereavement.
