Murray Bridge, South Australia
 

Murray Bridge - The first inhabitants of the area were the Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal people.  The locality acquired the name Edwards Crossing after one of the first European settlers in the area.  The first bridge over the Murray was built in 1879.  The town, when laid out laid out in 1883, was called Mobilong.  The name Murray Bridge was only conferred following the building of the railway bridge in 1924.

    Murray bridge is the administrative and largest population center for the current Rural City of Murray Bridge.
