Warracknabeal - The town’s name is believed to derive from an aboriginal expression meaning "place of big gums shading the water hole".  Warracknabeal is the administrative centre for the Shire of Yarriambiack, which includes the towns of Beulah, Hopetoun, Minyip, Murtoa, Rupanyup and Warracknabeal.
