On March 1. at Barham (N.S.W.) the
death occurred of Mr Carl Ludwig
Bottcher, at the age of 96. He came to
Australia when he was 26, and parti
cipated in the gold rush at Ophir and
Temora. He settled in the Barham dis
trict in 1885, and two years later select
ed "Fair View." His wife pre-deceased
him. He leaves three daughters and a
son.
