An old resident of Dimboola passed away on
Thursday evening in Mrs. Mary Bertha
Pohlner at the age of 76 years. She was
born at Rednitz, Germany, and came to
Australia with her parents when she was
only two years of age. She resided in
South Australia for 26 years and in
Victoria for 44 years. She was married
to the late Mr. Frederick August Pohlner at
Edithburgh, South Australia. She leaves
two daughters and two sons, viz., Emelie
Emma (Mrs. Melke, Dimboola),
Mary Elizabeth (Mrs. W. Krahe, Gerang),
Frederick William and Gustav Alfred, and
a number of grandchildren. The funeral
took place at the Dimboola cemetery on
Saturday afternoon. Pastor Schultz read
the service at the graveside.
