ObituaryMR. CARL AUGUST HEINRICH(Reprinted from the Temora "Star,"of the 10th April)The death occurred at the CarltonPrivate Hospital last night, of Mr CarlHeinrich. a well-known and highly re-spected resident of Bundawarrah, atthe ripe old age of 82 years. The veteran had enjoyed the best of healthuntil about 3 months ago, when thebecame ill, and was brought into thehospital a month ago, bronchitis andpneumonia being the cause of death.Born in Germany, the late Mr. Heinrich accompanied his parents to SouthAustralia as a boy of four years, andit is interesting to note, that therewas then only ten miles of railway inthe southern colony. They went toFreeling, and Mr. Heinrich subse-quently settled at Quorn, being one ofthe first farmers to take up land inthat centre. He always followed farming pursuits, and after staying atQuorn for 27 years, heard of the potentialities of the Temora soil, andcame across to this district in 1907,purchasing a property at Bundawarrahand he remained here ever since.He was a great man for his home,his wife and family having his firstconsideration, and he worked hard toimprove his property.His hospitality was proverbial, andhis home was one of the happiest places in the district, with friends making it their constant calling place. Theold gentleman had an army of friendswho will regret to learn of his demise,for they always found in him a truefriend in every sense of the word.He is survived by one brother, Mr.Adolph Heinrich, who lives in SouthAustralia. There are also three son'sand four daughters to mourn the lossof a devoted father. They are: Messrs. C. G. A. Heinrich (Narraburra), G.A. Heinrich (Ootha) and Carl Heinrich (Narraburra) Mrs. W. Williams(Narraburra), Mrs. W. Locksley (Ard-lethan), Mrs. Lusk (Temora) and MissHeinrich, who has lived at home withher father.There are 23 grandchildren.The wife of the deceased died in1914, and was buried in he Temoracemetery, and the remains of the lateMr. Heinrich are to be interred in themethodist portion alongside those ofhis wife, Rev. G. F. Pyke (Church ofEngland) performing the last sadrites.The funeral, which was conductedby Mrs. Murphy, took place this afternoon, and was largely attended by representatives of all round the district,as a universal mark of esteem to afine old gentleman.
