OBITUARYGEORGE ALBERT HEINRICHBy the death of the above the district has lost one of its very bestfarmers and a man whose character, was of the highest standing. Indeed,it would be hard to find a betterall-round man, using the word "man"in the broadest sense to cover everything that goes to make completenessin all the attributes of the ideal person.A faithful husband, good father, andsuccessful in his undertakings his lifewas one such as did not give anycause for regret. And his ending oflife must have been without pain. Hehad been several days in the Condo-bolin District Hospital and returnedto his home at Ootha feeling alright. On Tuesday last, 6th inst., feeling indined for a look round the farm, hesaid he would just go for a rideround the property, and left thehouse. This was about 10 a.m. Shortlyafterwards, Mrs. Heinrich went outto see if he had gone and receivedthe terrible shock of finding him deadalongside the horse on which thesaddle had just been placed.Deceased, who was 63 yearsof age,was born at Quorn, South Australia, was married at Gunbar on February20, 1911, to Elizabeth Annie Ross. Hecame from South Australia to Temorain 1906 and from there to Condobolindistrict in 1908, settling at Ootha onthe property known as Mayfield. Frompartly its virgin state it was clearedand improved, year after year, till itwas made an ideal farm with comfortable residence and all necessaryoutbuildings — a home where there wasever a welcome and hospitality shown.Surviving children are George(R.A.A.F.), Carl, Ruth, Una, Bert(A.I.F.). There are three grandchildren. Three sisters are living, MissLena Heinrich, Mrs. Leckley, Mrs.Lusk, and one, Mrs. Williams, diedonly four weeks ago. Two brothers,Carl and August, are living. The late Mr. Heinrich despite hisbusy home life, found time to takeactive part in public movements thatwere chiefly of benefit to the man onthe land. He was particularly active, inthe Yarrabandai branch of theFarmers and Settlers' Association, theOotha branch of the AgriculturalBureau and Condobolin P.A.H. and I.Association.The burial took place in the Presbyterian portion of the Condobolincemetery on the Wednesday afternoon, the funeral cortege being one of thelargest yet seen in Condobolin. TheRev. Johnson officiated both in thechurch and at the graveside, and thefuneral arrangements were in thecapable hands of Mr. Robert Marlin. Many brother Masons of the Condobolin Lodge were present and theMasonic burial ritual read by Mr. H.C. Hodby. We extend our sincere sympathy tothe bereaved ones.
